Vote today!!

Today is our voting day for the Doodle Genie Contest!  Since we had a managable amount of entrys, I'm making it easy on myself and holding just 1 round this time....so at 5:00 it's OVER!  Hopefully the winners will be announced right after...but I gave myself until tomorrow morning just in case the afternoon gets crazy.

This week has been so quiet...I LOVE IT!  Last week.....after NSD....oh man I thought I would never get caught up before leaving for the last weekend of our scout training my dh and I have been helping with... so it's definately been the calm after the storm and I'm so grateful!  It's catch-up time in ALL aspects of my life right now and I need to take advantage!  My son is home from college for a week so we've been going to lunch daily....something I've taken away from myself the past 30 days as life has been too busy to take!

So anyhow....I love calm!

As far as new arrivals...I think the next thing coming is from Making Memories...they still have 2 big lines releasing before the next convention. 

There is the Travel Line

that will be here the 1st week of June....they sent samples a few weeks back and I really like it!  And then the last of their CHA release will be here close to the same time

FUNKY VINTAGE...   This is a LOUD LINE full of color!

Then that is IT until July CHA when my dh is joining me in Chicago!  If anyone can suggest something fun to do while we are there, let me know...I'm all about 1 day of work and 2 days of play while we are in town!  I attend conventions WAY different then most.  I have an agenda...I do NOT window shop...the night before, I attend the MM VIP party, put my order in there so I don't have to stop by their booth unless there is a drawing going on!!  I am IN LINE the morning of Day 1 and almost RUN to BasicGrey to grab a number...then I relax.  They do things weird there...you grab a number then when you do get back to put in your order...they staple it to the top and that declares what order yours is filled and shipped!  And a difference of 20 numbers could mean a different day your order arrives...which is HUGE when our clientele is IMPATIENT and demands new product QUICKLY!! (huh girls?)!

But anyhow....I visit all my favorite companies, chat with my favorite reps from each...go to lunch with Justin from Chatterbox, grab some awesome sugar cookies from Pressed Petals, (and steal one for Madison from MME), put in my orders and I'm DONE in usually about 6 hours!  It's not stressful for me... it's lots of fun!

So anyhow...I need ideas with what to do with my other 2 days in Chicago with my dh...so HELP!

ok, better get to work...we have over 200 votes already this morning for the contest...gotta get a grip on those before they are out of control!

I FINALLY made time to scrap again!

Well, my dh talked me into joining him at our cabin up in the mountains for the long holiday!  He is in charge of a big scout camp (along with my brother) and had to 'save spots' in the forest.....so my SIL and her kids and I packed up our scrapbooking stuff ( OH I AM JUST NOT PORTABLE ANYMORE!) and headed up on Friday and got home at midnight last night!  I have not scrapped in SO SO SO long....I had so much fun!  I finished 26 pages in one of my sons books....it is now caught up to March of THIS YEAR!!!  WOOHOO!!  We have 2 more scrappin dates planned for the summer...so I'm hoping I can get my family book and my other sons books totally caught up by the end of Summer!  Oh...and my new favorite product is the shimmer chipboard letters from MM...I used them on 2 LO'S and LOVE THEM!

ok...enough about vacations!  The newest Funky Vintage line arrived and it's flying out the door....I actually like it more then when I first saw it at the convention!  I'll have to expand and see if I can use it a little on my next crop in a few weeks!  The problem is...I only have sons...so it's really frustrating that all the new stuff is so girly....and to make it harder...they are 17 and 19....MOST Of the boy stuff is "LITTLE BOY' stuff!

So back to work....lots of orders to get processed from being away the weekend!

WOW...It's been a long time.....

Holy cow....8 months since I've updated this blog...that is just terrible!!  I apologize!  Thank goodness one of our customers emailed me saying how much she enjoyed the updates...so i've put it in my organizer to update this more regularly!  Of course I had to be 'digitally reminded' 3 times to sit down and do it!

I guess we'll start with NEW STUFF!  We received shipping confirmation early this morning from MM that 5th Ave. and Garden Party will arrive tomorrow morning...for some reason I must have 'felt' these had shipped Friday......On Saturday I was lucky to have the entire day to myself (dh at scout day camp, ds1 dogsitting, ds2 snowboarding) knowing how bad the warehouse needed organizing and 're-shuffeling', I spent the entire morning doing just that.  Cleared out the 'new stuff' area and made room for it where it belonged....so I guess that was perfect timing...cuz these 2 new lines will definately fill that table up again.  And after sending the newsletter this morning...orders are flying in...I hate that MM tends to 'run out' of their new stuff so quickly...I think it causes everyone to panic a bit and order too much thinking they will miss out.....the Love Story line is selling out quickly...but just a secret for those of you that read this blog...if you want any love clips....we were sent 4 in our last order....and they are the LAST 4 to be found...MM has removed the line off their site already...it's gone...so email me if you want to add one of these to your order!

Justin from CBX called me last week...they are clearing out all of their older product (which is still my favorite) to make room for the 200 new products they are debuting at CHA on the 10th....so guess what...we have to do the same....I was worried they wouldn't recover..and now they are back with 200 new products....I don't know where on earth we will put this stuff....but we will still order it....we always do!  So for those of you that are Chatterbox Junkies....grab your favorites as we won't be getting any more of it in.....even the Doodle Genie's are being discontinued...and are going fast!

Madison from My Mind's Eye also called last week...they have ~ oh my gosh ~ TONS of new lines coming out the week of Feb. 18th.  I feel overwhelmed just thinking of our girls putting all of those together.   3 new lines (Wild Asparagus4, Just Dreamy, and 29th Street) and more then 72 different themes... UUGGHH why do that do that to me???!!! SO....yes, you guessed it...time to get the older stuff outta here!  50% off all of the old stuff....Signature Suite, Wild Asparagus3, Bohemia1, Kaleidoscope, 25% off the newer ones....Magnolia, Confetti, etc...I can't remember them all...but let me tell ya...THESE are flying off the shelf at this price...EVERYONE loves My Mind's Eye!!

We announced the annual Valentine's Day Card Contest in the newsletter today....so start creating those awesome cards and get them to me quickly...that page is blank and needs to color!

K...what else to tell you....oh....some out of stock stuff....the A2 embossing folders will be back in stock at Provo Craft this week....I know LOTS of you have those on backorder.  The Cuttlebug organizer arrived....I know lots of you have been waiting for that too!  The db sugarcoating kit is also suppossed to be here end of this week, or 1st part of next....again..lots of backorders.  The MM carousel (man have those been popular)...we sold our last one on Friday and MM is out of them now, so we aren't sure details on that yet....I'm waiting to hear back from my rep on that.

Crop-A-Dile Big BiteII

Ok I forgot one thing.....The Crop-A-Dile Big Bite II is on pre-order now...I already had to double my initial order we had so many pre-orders come in last week!  It's suppossed to be the hottest thing of CHA... thank goodness a customer asked me to find out about them...we are SO FAR AHEAD of most stores on this one!  I was promised we are in the first shipment, which will be in March....we'll update our website as we get them from We R.  I'm just excited it will now fit to the middle of my 12x12 layout!!  So be sure to pre-order yours quickly before all of our 1st order is sold out!

well, it's Friday at 5:00...wow what a day....I'm still trying to 'wrap the day up'.....first the embossing folders dont come in our Provo Craft order as promised...wasn't a great start.....so we have over 20 customers that I know were counting on these shipping out BEFORE I leave town for a week...oh well...it's always SOMETHING!!  Most have been understanding thank goodness!

Check out the website this week while I'm gone as my assistant will be here uploading endless images of all the new product we will be ordering.....she is working on the My Mind's Eye as I type!  It's awesome...as always!  Of course as we are just about to take the last of the older kits off the site....(wild asparagus3, kaleidoscope, bohemia) I find 2 BOXES of these things hidden in a cabinet!!!  UUGGHHH so you may see a few we THOUGHT were sold out....back on the site...but wow these have gone fast at the awesome 50% off price!  AND we just added free shipping too...as our apology for being out of town and not shipping your orders for a week!  So TAKE ADVANTAGE!!   I know how you all hate shipping charges...me too....hate them!

So anyhow....I'll try to post again next week when we get back...but I don't expect too many surprises!  Oh ya...I just got the BasicGrey email Wednesday...they have 5 NEW LINES coming out in March that I will order this weekend for sure....so either check out their site...or hopefully we'll have ours up mid-week!

ok, that's it....hopefully soon I will log out and get packing.....ppssttt after CHA we are going on a little cruise for Valentine's Day....woohoo...(that's why we are gone until Friday) so I should come home TOTALLY RESTED!!  But don't tell anyone....let everyone thing I'm hard at work at CHA all week long!!

CHA UPDATE!!!

....CHA is going great!  Some highlights.....

1 - The Making Memories SLICE - wow this is amazing...everyone will love it!  It's like a compact Cricut... easy to take to crops!  Check out the lengthy description on our website under MM New products and they also have a link to watch the demo on the MM Site!  Next week we will start pre-ordering these with some discounts...so make sure you watch for that!!

2 - The Crop - A - Dile BIG BITE II - I got to play with  a little bit...then triple increased my January order when they GUARANTEED me I would be amoungst the first stores to receive it.  Their first shipment is 95% sold out.  More good news....they moved the date up to the last week in February!! woohoo!!!  If you haven't pre-ordered yours yet... better do so to get it in this first batch because the next shipment isn't coming until the end of April!

3 - MM is adding on to their noteworthy line...2 new theme's that you will love!!  There is also the "Animal Crackers" line...oh man...ADORABLE new baby line!  Also a new Baby idea book....cute stuff as always...they never let us down!

4 - BasicGrey has 5 new lines all coming in March I think it was....Boxer, Sultry, Sugared, Archaic, Cupcake...again, images coming this week on our site!

5 - I LOVED the new My Mind's Eye papers so much more after touching them and seeing them in person...wow...shimmer paper...the Wild Asparagus4 is even thicker cardstock this time...more like the 1st line was!!  This is coming in about 10 days or so...they are waiting on one more thing to arrive!

6- Chatterbox...it was SO GREAT to see the Chatterbox booth back up and running and to visit with Justin and Melody and to see smiles on their faces!  They tell me the two companies are keeping seperate in the design area...just one warehouse and billing department.  I ordered all of their new line...so check out the website for images coming really soon!  I think the 'happy day' line is my favorite!

7 - Bazzill has another bling line coming out called Birthstones that I really like!  They also have some great new ribbons sold by the yard that I think are my favorite yet!  New cardstock with an edge colors, and 2 new templates for the In Stitchez program...by the way...the old templates are 'on the boat' as we speak and should be here in 10-14 days, for those of you that have them on backorder.  Bazzill also has 2 new albums coming out...one is a limited edition 8x8, and the other is 12x12, but what I like about the bigger one is that it comes with some page refills that hold 5 4x6 pictures...so you know when you go on vacation and come back with 200 pictures and only want to scrap 15 of them....these pages can be put in the middle or end of your LO as a simple way to add those other pictures you don't want to throw away, but dont want to scrap!!  I LOVED IT!!  Bazzill also has a new idea book out too.... great as always...I really like their idea books that give creative ways to use cardstock without having a million time consuming embellishments all over the LO.

8 - Doodlebug OF COURSE has a really cute new line coming out in April.  They have now joined in with the 'flock world'.  Flocked papers, brads, ribbons, powder....etc.  I loved it all!

9 - Creating Keepsakes.....LOTS of new Idea Books coming of course-Lisa has a new one coming, so does Becky....they gave me a copy of the "About A Girl" book/album.  I THINK IT'S SO CUTE!!!  I bought enough for the store...plus one for each of my 9 nieces!  I'm starting them out YOUNG with a love of scrapbooking!  My next nieces scrapbooking day with be with these books.....they get to 'tell their story' with their own handwriting by filling in the blanks, and adding pictures!

10 - Queen & Company has more felt...holy cow I didn't know all the things you could do with felt!  All of theie shoes and aprons had hot pink felt borders all over it!  My husband told them to call up croc's and try to market it with them!!  new brads....same stuff as usual, new colors...liked it all!

It's Friday!!

Friday's---good day's!  Of course this begins Spring Break here...so it's hard to stay focused and work the full day!

Thought I would update a little bit.  Heard from BG that their new stuff is beginning to ship Monday & Tuesday of next week....as soon as we get shipping confirmation we will allow it to be orderable!

The first of the MM shipments is coming later next week as well...this will include the embellishments, tiny alphabet stickers, AND the NEW animal crackers line!!!  I loved this line at CHA!

We received the new Disney line from EK this week...so you gotta check it out!  More albums, stickers, papers.....we never have enough Disney, huh?  If we'd only quit going there every year we wouldn't need quite the assortment of products, huh?

And now here is the BEST NEWS!!!!!  DRUM ROLL.................we are doing a weekend only sale starting later today....as soon as we can get everything marked down in the computer.....75% OFF EVERYTHING IN THE CLEARANCE SECTION!!!! WOOHOO!!  We have GOT to clear space for all of this new stuff.... so HELP US!!!  This is going to be advertised for Saturday through Monday... but as soon as the site is updated you can begin shopping if you read this before we get the newsletter out!!  I'm confident this will get rid of that last stuff hanging on from Making Memories, Chatterbox, My Minds Eye, and Pressed Petals!!  I HOPE I HOPE!  It's going to go FAST, so I would shop EARLY!
